Best for premier banking: Banka Kombetare Tregtare
Banka Kombëtare Tregtare Kosovë (BKT Kosova) strengthened its position in Kosovo’s private banking market during the review period through continued balance-sheet expansion, greater advisory capacity and improvements to digital servicing.
The bank’s assets under management (AUM) rose to $344.7 million in the first half of 2025, representing 15.8% growth from the first half of 2024, driven by sustained client activity and strong deposit inflows. During the same period, the bank opened its first dedicated Premier Branch in Prishtina’s Arbëria district, introducing private offices, a client lounge and a redesigned service model that elevated the overall experience for affluent customers.
BKT added seven new relationship managers (RM), which improved the RM-to-client ratio and gave clients more direct access to advisers, enabling deeper engagement in a market where personalised contact remains central to high-net-worth (HNW) servicing.
The bank continued to build on its Visa Platinum proposition by expanding merchant partnerships and strengthening the loyalty structure. This reinforced its value as a relationship tool and helped BKT Kosova deepen its interaction with affluent households. Client uptake of the card continued to rise, supported by higher credit limits, airport lounge access and dedicated delivery services.
Digital developments introduced during 2025 added meaningful capability to the franchise, with an upgraded platform that offers portfolio visibility and direct channels to relationship managers. These improvements supported more responsive advisory work and reduced clients’ reliance on branch-based interactions.
Premier clients also benefitted from a priority phone line and a dedicated digital communications channel, enabling faster access to advisers and contributing to consistently high-satisfaction levels.
